Bringing Aussie sunshine to every dish.

Swapping the Harbour of Sydney for London’s Kings Cross, Granger & Co offers a refined dining experience with sophisticated simplicity. It brings to life a typically Australian relaxed feel with enthusiasm and buzz.

Since its facelift a few years ago, and the ongoing developments of Facebook and Google HQs, King’s Cross is a sweet spot of transient destinations. Given the mix of European travellers fresh off the Eurostar and the everyday commuters passing through everyday, Granger & Co is a perfect spot for a coffee and cake, or brunch, or lunch, or late night dinner for that matter. The ability for the restaurant to effortlessly accommodate every need gives it a sophisticated hotel feel to share amongst friends or colleagues.

The menu is short, sweet and simple. Visual cues play with illustrative brand assets, and use neat signposts to distinguish between each menu. This menu reflects a deliberate move away from heavy content, instead embracing clarity and efficiency. Sections are clearly signposted to guide the customer quickly to what they’re looking for.

The use of varied shapes to frame and separate content is a hallmark of the original design introduced over a decade ago and remains a defining feature. This approach not only enhances readability but also adds visual rhythm to the page.

The design combines a contemporary aesthetic with functional elegance, a concept referenced in On the Menu by Nicholas Lander, which highlights the importance of intuitive design in the dining experience.

It’s smart and adaptable, much like the restaurant and brings some Aussie sunshine to every dish.
